    What Is Ibotta?

    Save money with ibotta

If you are reading this post, I’m sure you know what ibotta is, but if you don’t, let’s go over a brief overview.

Ibotta is a free app that gives you cash back every time you shop for things such as groceries and essentials!

The great thing about ibotta is that they partner with 100’s of brands and give you real cash into your account instead of points.

Once you reach $20 in cash back in Ibotta (which isn’t hard to do), you can cash out to your bank account, PayPal, or several different gift cards.

Ibotta is primarily known as a cashback app for groceries and toiletries, but they are much more than that…

With ibotta, you can also get cashback on clothing, travel, sports items, subscriptions/services, home products, etc…

As you can see ibotta is truly an awesome app and if you aren’t using it already I highly recommend signing up for ibotta now!

Plus, when you sign up to ibotta with my link you will get up to $20 for free!

Now, let’s check out some other cashback apps for groceries and more…

    Best Apps Like Ibotta

Many cashback apps are available on the market right now; some are great while others aren’t that good.

I recommend over 20 apps like ibotta in this post, but honestly, some are better than others, so here are the best apps like ibotta that you should use right now…

    Fetch Rewards

One of the best apps that is very similar to ibotta is Fetch Rewards. With Fetch Rewards, you can get cash back from $1,000’s of brands and items.

Plus, when you sign up with my link you will get 2,000 points ($2) for absolutely free!

    Dosh

This app is a bit different than others on this list and it’s a good thing, it’s because Dosh gives you cash back automatically when you shop with a linked card!

You don’t need to activate offers or scan receipts, all you need to do is shop and you’ll get cash back. I highly recommend using Dosh!

    Checkout 51

A great app that is just like ibotta is Checkout 51 and this app is awesome!

Just like ibotta, with Checkout 51 you will need to go into the app and add offers to your shopping list, and then when you are finished shopping just scan your receipt and you’ll get cashback.

It’s super easy to use Checkout 51 and you can save a lot of money on groceries!

    ReceiptPal

Another receipt scanning app like ibotta that I recommend using is ReceiptPal.

With ReceiptPal you will need to scan your receipt to earn points but you don’t have to activate offers like you do on ibotta or Fetch Rewards.

These are the best apps like ibotta that I recommend using right now!

Now let’s dig deeper into these apps and go over many more free cashback apps you can use to save money on shopping...

    Fetch Rewards

Check out Fetch Rewards To Save Money

As we briefly discussed before, Fetch Rewards is an excellent cash back app just like ibotta.

First, I recommend signing up to Fetch Rewards with my link so you can get 2,000 points ($2) for absolutely free!

As you probably figured out already, Fetch Rewards uses a point-based system, unlike ibotta, which pays out in cash.

Every 1,000 points on Fetch Rewards is equal to $1, and once you achieve 3,000 points, you can cash out to several different gift cards.

Another difference is that on Fetch Rewards, you don’t need to activate offers like you do on ibotta; as long as you scan a receipt with eligible offers, you will get points!

Fetch Rewards also allows you to link your email so you can earn points when you shop online.

Sign up to Fetch Rewards here and use it with ibotta to maximize your earnings!

    Receipt Hog

    Receipt Hog App

Another receipt scanning app that I recommend using is Receipt Hog.

However, Receipt Hog has some quirks that I need to mention. First, Receipt Hog states that they have a lot of members on their platform, so you will need to request access to use the app.

The sign-up process is the same as other apps, and I was able to sign up right away, but others might have trouble with this “request process, so just keep this in mind.

Receipt Hog is similar to Fetch Rewards in the way that you don’t have to activate offers before scanning your receipt, just scan it, and you’ll earn points!

You can only upload three receipts from the same store on the same day, and your receipts can’t be more than two weeks old.

Plus, each week you upload a receipt, you will get a bonus and one entry in the monthly sweepstake, where you can earn up to 5,000 points!

There is also this bonus way to earn points on Receipt Hog, where you play a slot-like game where you can make more points!

You need 1,000 coins which is equal to $5 to cash out, and your options are an Amazon gift card, PayPal, and a Visa E-Card.

The strange thing about Receipt Hog is that to redeem your points, you will need to verify your email and phone number and complete a questionnaire that asks for your address.

They also need access to your location; this is pretty strange, but Receipt Hog is entirely safe, and this information is only used for research purposes, so there is nothing to worry about.

This is one of the few receipt apps like ibotta, so sign up to Receipt Hog here.

    Shopkick

Use Shopkick To Get Cash Back

An interesting app that is like ibotta is Shopkick, where you can earn points by doing various tasks.

The easiest way to earn points on Shopkick is to simply walk-in stores; that’s it! You need to give Shopkick access to your location and Bluetooth for this to work.

Other ways to earn points on Shopkick include scanning items in the store, scanning receipts, shopping with a linked card, and shopping online through Shopkick!

It’s super easy to earn points on Shopkick, and I highly recommend using this excellent app.

You will need at least 500 points ($2) on Shopkick to cash out, and you can cash out to several different gift cards.

Shopkick also has a PayPal option, but you will need at least 2,550 points ($10) to cash out.

That’s pretty much it for Shopkick; it’s straightforward to use!

Plus, when you sign up to Shopkick with my link and walk-in or scan a receipt within 7 days you will get an extra 250 points automatically!

    Snap By Groupon

    Snap By Groupon

I’ve heard many people talking about Snap By Groupon, which is supposed to be an excellent cashback app like ibotta, but it’s no longer available.

Snap By Groupon is now obsolete, and it’s just Groupon now.

I’m sure you know what Groupon is; it is just a coupon service where you can find great deals on products and experiences.

You can use Groupon to save money on food somewhat similar to ibotta, and you can also use Groupon+ to get cash back at restaurants!

If you aren’t using Groupon yet, I recommend signing up for a free account here!

    Checkout 51

Get Cash Back On Checkout 51

We briefly went over Checkout 51 earlier, and if you aren’t using this app already, you should get it right now!

Checkout 51 is one of the few apps like ibotta, where you activate offers in the app and then scan the receipts to earn cashback.

It is pretty much the same as ibotta; the only difference is that there are different offers on Checkout 51 than on ibotta.

But… this isn’t bad because you can use both apps simultaneously!

With Checkout 51, you can link your store’s loyalty program, so you don’t have to scan receipts; you will get cashback automatically when you shop at the linked store.

Checkout 51 also offers an excellent service where you can get cash back on gas! You must activate the offer for the specific gas station and scan your receipt to get the cashback.

The only downside to Checkout 51 is that they don’t have many online offers available, but you can always use another cashback app like ibotta for online offers.

Sign up to Checkout 51 here and get $5 for free when you start redeeming offers on Checkout 51.

    ReceiptPal

    Check out ReceiptPal

One of the best apps like ibotta that you can use right now to earn points for scanning receipts is ReceiptPal!

ReceiptPal is a free and easy-to-use app where you can earn points for simply scanning receipts.

There are no offers to activate, all you need to do is scan receipts, and that’s it!

When you scan four receipts on ReceiptPal, you will earn 100 points and can scan 20 receipts weekly.

For ReceiptPal to work you will need to connect your email to the app, this will help you earn points, and it is a necessary step to cash out your points.

With ReceiptPal, the more points you have, the more they are worth. For example, you can use 350 points for a $1 gift card or 17,000 points for a $100 gift card (170 points per $1).

Sign up to ReceiptPal here and start earning points for simply scanning receipts!

    Dosh

Get Automatic Cash Back With Dosh

One of the best apps like ibotta that I recommend using right now is Dosh!

As we went over earlier, Dosh is a fantastic cash back app that automatically gives you cash back.

All you need to do is link your credit/debit cards that you use to shop with to Dosh and then just shop.

    That’s it!

You’ll then get cash back automatically, and once you reach $25 in cash back, you can cash out to your bank account, Venmo or PayPal.

With Dosh, you can also get cash back from online purchases! Just check Dosh for online offers, click the shop button, and shop like you usually would.

I highly recommend signing up to Dosh to get automatic cash back. It’s free money for doing nothing so why not?!

    Drop

    Check Out The Drop App

Another cashback app that is similar to ibotta and Dosh is Drop.

Drop allows you to get cash back automatically but only from a few selected stores. You can get cash back from 100’s stores by shopping online through Drop.

Drop works on a point-based system, and 1,000 points is equal to $1. You will need at least 25,000 points ($25) to cash out, and you can only cash out to gift cards.

So, Drop isn’t as good as Dosh, but it’s still worth checking out.

Plus, they offer other ways to earn points, including playing games and taking surveys.

Check out Drop and start getting cash back easily!

    SavingStar

    Save With SavingsStar

One of the other apps like ibotta is SavingStar which allows you to get cash back from 1,000’s of grocery stores!

All you need to do is sign up for your free SavingStar account here and then start activating offers.

You need to add the stores you shop at, and then you will get all the offers available.

Just activate the offers and then scan your receipts to get your cash back. You can also link your store’s loyalty program to earn cash back without scanning receipts!

Millions of people use SavingStar, and new offers are added weekly, so I highly recommend checking out SavingsStar.

Once you reach $20 in cash back, you can cash out to your bank account, PayPal, or choose from several gift cards.

Sign up to SavingStar now and start saving money now!

    Coupons.com App

    Coupons.com App

A very well-known site is Coupons.com, and now Coupons.com has an app that allows you to save money quickly on the go.

The great thing about the Coupons.com app is that you have three different ways to save. You can print out coupons, use digital coupons, or scan receipts to get cashback.

If you use the cash back option, you can cash out to PayPal after you get your cash back!

Coupons.com has been around for years, and they partner with 1,000 stores, so they are trustworthy.

Get your free Coupons.com account and start saving money quickly.

    Krazy Coupon Lady App

    The Krazy Coupon Lady App

The Krazy Coupon Lady app is an excellent app if you rather use coupons instead of getting cash back.

Either way, you are saving money!

The app is free and super easy to use. Get the app here and then select the stores you shop at to get coupon deals.

You can then add these coupons to your list so you can use them later.

Plus, this app will give you personalized deals based on your shopping habits and give you notifications for new deals and coupons for stores you shop at.

I recommend getting the free Krazy Koupon Lady app for the best deals and coupons!

    RetailMeNot

    Save With The RetailMeNot App

Another coupon app that I recommend checking out is RetailMeNot.

RetailMeNot started off as just a coupon service, but now they offer cashback for food, clothes, travel, tech, etc..

You can get cash back on in-store offers by scanning receipts, and you can get cash back online by shopping within the RetailMeNot app.

Once you get your cashback, you can cash out to PayPal.

RetailMeNot also offers another cool service which is discounted gift cards.

For example, you can use your cashback to purchase a $25 Starbucks gift card for $20.

This is awesome because you will be using free money to save money!

Sign up for your free RetailMeNot account here and start saving all around.

    Flipp

    Flipp app

Another coupon app like ibotta is Flipp which will give you coupons to 100’s of stores and 1,000’s of items!

All you need to do is sign up for your free Flipp account, and you will instantly have access to all the coupons available.

You can browse coupon books at stores to find good deals or use the search feature in the app if you know what you are looking for.

Just “clip” the coupons you want, and they will be added to your Flipp app. You can then use these digital coupons when you checkout to save money!

An excellent feature that Flipp offers is their shopping list which you can build right within the app and share with family members.

Flipp is a cool savings app; you can check it out here.

    Shopmium (U.K.)

    Save Money With Shopmium

For my U.K. readers, one of the best apps like ibotta that you can use right now is Shopmium.

Shopmium is basically seen as the ibotta in the U.K.; that’s how good it is!

All you need to do is sign up to Shopmium for free and then choose your payout method, which can either be PayPal or direct deposit.

Then grant the app access to your location, and you will see all the nearby offers available; just add the offers you want to your selections.

After this, just shop like you usually do and then scan your receipt and products to get cashback!

The difference between Shopmium and other receipt apps is that you will need to scan the barcode of each product along with the receipt.

If you reside in the U.K., then I highly recommend checking out Shopmium.

    Slickdeals

    Slickdeals app

While Slickdeals is not a cashback app like ibotta, it is a saving app that will help you save money on groceries and more!

The Slickdeals app is super simple to use, and it is really straightforward.

First, get your free Coupon Sherpa account here, and then you will have instant access to coupons from 100’s of brands and products.

You will see nearby deals, and you can choose to keep digital coupons or print them out.

Slickdeals has excellent ratings on the App Store and Play Store, so it’s definitely worth checking out!

    ShopSavvy

    Save With ShopSavvy

A really interesting app that can help you save money, like ibotta is ShopSavvy.

ShopSavvy is an app that will help you compare the prices of products to ensure you are getting the best deal!

To save money with ShopSavvy, you can scan an item’s barcode, and ShopSavvy will show you all the nearby stores that have the product and the prices.

Or, if you don’t have a barcode to scan, you can simply search for the product in the ShopSavvy app.

You can make sure you are always getting the best deals with ShopSavvy!

    Shoply

Use Shoply To Save Money On Groceries

A pretty new cashback app on the market is Shoply, and they deserve a spot on this list because they are from the same company as Swagbucks and MyPoints.

Prodege is the company that owns Shoply, Swagbucks, and MyPoints, and they are a big trustworthy cashback company.

Shoply is one of the few apps like ibotta that pretty much works in the same way.

To use Shoply you must sign up for a free Swagbucks account. You will earn Swagbucks points for your purchases which can be redeemed for several different gift cards.

With Shoply, you have access to hundreds of stores where you can find many products with cashback available.

Just add the products you want to your shopping list and then scan the receipt when you finish shopping; that’s it!

Since it’s a fairly new app, it seems to be buggy, and some users have trouble with the app. I still think it’s worth checking out.

If you have a Swagbucks account or MyPoints, account, you can simply use either one to log in to Shoply.

    CouponCabin

    Coupon Cabin

Another great app that you can use for massive savings is CouponCabin.

CouponCabin is awesome because you will get access to 1,000’s of coupons, and you can also get cashback from hundreds of stores!

The downside to CouponCabin is that you can only get cash back from online purchases. For in-store purchases, you will need to use coupons to save money.

A pretty nifty feature that CouponCabin offers is that you can purchase digital gift cards and get cashback for doing so!

Once you get $10 in cash back, you can cash out via PayPal, direct deposit, check, or e-gift card.

    Save With Paribus

While Paribus isn’t an app, it is a service that I highly recommend using.

Paribus is a free service offered by Capital One that will help you save money by utilizing price protection policies.

Price protection policies are terms from companies that state if a product drops in price in a set amount of days, you are entitled to the difference paid.

These price protection policies are confusing, and it’s a real hassle to keep up with them, so why not let Paribus do it? It’s absolutely free!

All Paribus needs is access to your email, and it will then scan for receipts and check if you are eligible for savings, and they will save you money.

It’s that easy and I highly recommend using Paribus to save some money.

    Rebaid

Do you shop on Amazon? If so, do you want to save money? Then you need to use Rebaid.

You can find 50% – 70% off products by simply shopping through the Rebaid site.

Rebaid is a new service, so, unfortunately, they do not have an app as yet, but there is a site you can use, and this service really works.

    And get this…

You can even get items on Amazon for completely free by using the Rebaid site!

I highly recommend signing up for a free Rebaid account and start saving money on Amazon now.

    GetUpside

Save money on gas with getupside

An app that is very similar to ibotta is GetUpside.

GetUpside originally started as an app to earn cash back on gas, but now it offers cash back on restaurants and grocery stores as well!

The great thing about GetUpside is that they partner with 1,000’s of gas stations and fast-food chains, so it is one of the best cashback apps to use on the go.

GetUpside pays out in cash, and you only need $1 in your account to cash out to PayPal, e-gift card, or check.

This is a really awesome app that I recommend using to earn some cash back on the go.

Check out A Free Empire and start getting free stuff!

    BeFrugal

BeFrugal is one of the top cash back apps

Another great cash back app that is similar to ibotta is BeFrugal, and this app is really awesome.

BeFrugal is awesome because they offer some of the highest cashback offers available. You can see cashback offers reach up to 40%!

Once you have $25 in cashback in your account, you can cash out to PayPal, Venmo, direct deposit, check, or several e-gift cards.

Plus, when you sign up with my link to BeFrugal you will get a $10 welcome bonus!

    TopCashback

    Check out TopCashback

We went over many apps like ibotta in this list and the last but not least one I want to mention is TopCashback.

TopCashback is a powerful cashback app where you can get cash back at over 4,000 stores!

All you need to do is sign up for a free TopCashback account here and then start shopping through the TopCashback app to get cashback.

With TopCashback you will earn real cash instead of points (like other apps) and you will get access to 1,000’s of deals and coupons as well!

TopCashback is a really great cashback platform and with their app, site, and browser extension you will be saving money all around.

    Ibotta Hack

Now that we went over all the best apps like ibotta there is a “hack” that you can use to get even more cashback!

It’s really simple actually, all you need to do is use all the receipt apps together to claim cashback from each app for the same groceries\purchases.

This is an awesome way to get some extra cash for doing nothing at all!

Here are the best receipt apps that I recommend you use together to maximize your cashback:

You can scan the same receipt with all of these apps to get cashback from multiple places!

Now, you might not get cashback from every app due to different stores/items that each app works with but it’s definitely worth a try.

Also, remember that some of the apps on the list above require you to activate offers so just keep this in mind.

I highly recommend signing up for these receipt cash back apps so you can maximize your cashback earnings!

    Conclusion

Now that we went over the best apps like ibotta, what apps are you going to use?

As we went over earlier, I highly recommend signing up for multiple receipt cash back apps so you can earn more cash back with the same receipt!

With cashback apps, you will get money for things you were already purchasing so why not?!

Along with ibotta, I recommend signing up for other apps like Dosh, GetUpside, Fetch Rewards, Checkout 51, etc…
