By now you probably know that money is just a tool used to pretty much do what you want.
I mean in today’s society money kind of runs the world right? We make money, we spend money, we make more money then we… I’m sure you get the point by now.
In fact, we don’t really know much about money, do we? For example, did you know that it costs more than a penny to make a penny?
Huh?
Yup, it’s true. According to the 2017 annual report by the U.S Mint, a penny actually costs 1.82 cents to make!
I’m sure you have the same question I had, “then why the f**k are we still making the penny if it is costing the U.S money?”
Well, there are advantages and disadvantages to the penny and I’m not going to get into them here but here is a great post by Money Crashers on the advantages and disadvantages of the penny.
Here is another random interesting fact, according to Quartz in 2010, a programmer bought two pizzas with 10,000 Bitcoins. This would now be worth over 30 million dollars!
At the peak of Bitcoin’s bull run, this would be worth over 180 million dollars! That’s crazy, Imagine being this person.
